A DeMontrond® Family History

DeMontrond RV Buick first opened on Kirby Drive in 1953. However, the DeMontrond family was not new to the automobile business. Since 1940, George DeMontrond, Jr., was trained by his father-in-law at their family dealership in Waxahachie, Texas. George and his wife, Betty, worked hard to establish their new business in the growing city of Houston.

In the late 1970s, the RV dealership was moved to its present location in North Houston. The business grew under the direction of George DeMontrond, Jr., selling Buick and Peugeot automobiles, and several brands of motorhomes. Under the leadership of his son, George DeMontrond III, DeMontrond has grown from the original Buick dealership to be one of the largest family-owned auto groups in Texas, offering a wide range of North America's most trusted and popular vehicle and RV brands.
